Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern the Shqipi mobile app (the “App”), provided by SHQIPI INC. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read them before a child uses the App or an adult purchases a subscription.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, using, or purchasing a subscription in the App, you agree to these Terms. If you let a child use the App, you agree to these Terms as the child’s parent or legal guardian. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. About Shqipi
Shqipi offers Albanian-language lessons, stories, and games for children ages 3–8. Features and content may vary by version and device. The App is an educational activity, not a substitute for formal instruction or adult guidance.
3. Eligibility and parental responsibility
A parent or legal guardian should download the App, review its content and settings, and supervise a child’s use. Purchases must be made or authorized by an adult using an Apple App Store or Google Play account. You are responsible for activity on the device and store account you permit a child to use.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Shqipi offers an optional yearly auto-renewable subscription that unlocks premium content. The applicable price, currency, and any offer details are shown by the App Store or Google Play before you confirm a purchase. Apple or Google processes payment through the store account used for the purchase; SHQIPI INC. does not directly charge your payment method in the App.
The subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel it through the applicable store account before the next renewal. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. After cancellation, premium access generally continues until the end of the current paid period, subject to the store’s rules.
Refund requests and eligibility are handled under the applicable Apple or Google Play policies. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
5. Free and premium content
Some lessons and activities can be used for free. Other content requires an active premium subscription, as indicated in the App. Premium access lasts while the subscription is active. We may add, improve, or change content over time, while respecting any rights you have under applicable law.
6. Intellectual property
The App and its text, artwork, audio, games, design, and branding belong to SHQIPI INC. or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We give you a limited, personal, non-commercial right to use the App for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms and the applicable store rules. We do not transfer ownership of the App or its content to you.
7. Acceptable use
Please use Shqipi lawfully and as intended. Do not copy or redistribute its content, interfere with the App, bypass premium access controls, or attempt to reverse engineer it except where the law permits. Do not use the App in a way that harms others or violates their rights.
8. No account required
Shqipi does not require a Shqipi account. A subscription is purchased and managed through the Apple or Google store account used to buy it. If you change devices, use the App’s restore option with the applicable store account where available. Store rules determine which purchases can be restored.
9. Children’s use and supervision
Shqipi is made for young children, but adults remain responsible for deciding when and how a child uses it, managing device access, and approving purchases. For information about the App’s handling of information, read our Privacy Policy.
10. Availability and updates
We may update the App to improve content, fix problems, or meet platform requirements. Some features may depend on device compatibility, an active subscription, or access to Apple or Google services. We cannot promise that the App will always be available or free from interruptions, but we will aim to keep it usable and reliable.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce a particular learning result. This does not remove any warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, SHQIPI INC. is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the App, such as lost data or interrupted access. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or limits a remedy where doing so is prohibited by law, including mandatory consumer protections.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. If you materially violate these Terms, your permission to use the App ends, subject to applicable law. Stopping use or deleting the App does not cancel an active subscription; cancel it through the applicable store account.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the App or legal requirements change. We will post the revised Terms here with a new “Last updated” date. When required by law, we will provide additional notice or seek consent before a material change takes effect. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and applicable Canadian federal law. Any mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence continue to apply.
